# Asset Return Type

Asset Return is about returning an asset to the store for the following reasons:

- Employee has resigned,
- Assets are not in good condition,
- Employee wants to return to the office and assigned the desktop/others asset to be sent to the office premises.

Using the Asset Return Type page, an administrator can configure various return types for a Department. The configured Asset Return Type are displayed for the **Type** the drop-down control on the **Movement Configuration** page and **Asset Return list** of the **My Asset List** page. It enables the end user and Security person to select the exact reason for asset return.

To configure the Asset return type, perform the following steps:

1. Select **Asset > Configuration** > **Asset Masters** > **ASSET RETURN TYPE.**
2. A list page is displayed. Click **ADD NEW.**
3. On the **ASSET RETURN TYPE** page, Select the Department and fill in the required detail.
4. Click **SUBMIT**. A new **Asset Return Type** is configured. For more information, see Field Description.

#### Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the **Asset Return Type** page:

| **Field** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Asset Return Type | Type in the asset return type. The asset return type depicts the purpose of returning the asset to store/office. The following are the examples of the asset return type: - Employee Off-boarding - Return of Accessories - Return of Fixed Asset |
| Active | Indicates the status set for Department Configuration. - If selected, the Asset Return Type configuration becomes active. - If not selected, Asset Return Type configuration becomes inactive. |

#### ACTIONS

This section explains the icon displayed on the **ACTIONS** panel of the **ASSET RETURN TYPE** page.

**SHOW LIST**

Click **SHOW LIST** to view the list of configured return types.

> Note
> 
> When the return types are displayed under the **LIST** table, the **ADD NEW** action is displayed on the **ACTIONS** panel. Click **ADD NEW** to configure a new return type.
