# Configure Software Deployment Mapping

You can add a software group and map the group with a software deployment profile on the **SOFTWARE DEPLOYMENT MAPPING** page.

To map software deployment, perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to **Asset** > **Configuration** > **Others** > **Software Deployment Mapping**.

3. On the **ACTIONS** panel of the of the **SOFTWARE DEPLOYMENT MAPPING** page, click **ADD NEW**. 4. Under the **Details** tab, specify all the required information. For more information about the fields on the **SOFTWARE DEPLOYMENT MAPPING** page, see [Field Description](/apex/docs/apex2-software-deployment-mapping#field-description).

6. Under the **Profile Mapping** tab, select the Type from the drop-down list and specify the required information about every selected type. 7. Click **SUBMIT**.

#### Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the **SOFTWARE DEPLOYMENT MAPPING** page:

| **Field** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| **Details** |
| Tenant | Select the Tenant from the drop-down list. |
| Group Name | Specify a unique name for the group. |
| Description | Type in the description of the software group. |
| **Profile Mapping** |
| Type | Select the type from the drop-down list. - **System:** If selected, you must specify the serial number and host name in the **System Name** field. - **IP Address:** If selected, you must specify the IP range in the **IP Address Range** field. - **User:** If selected, type in the name of the user in the **User** field. The user must have NT UID. If the NT UID is not present, update it. - **Customer:** If selected, type in the name of the customer in the **Customer** field and click to select. Selected customers are available in the **Multiple Customer** field. - **Location:** If selected, select the location from the Location pop-up. |
