# Deleting Consumable

You can delete Consumable from the Asset Inventory. To delete a Consumable, the Analyst must deactivate it, see [Deactivating Consumable](/apex/docs/deactivating-consumable).

To delete Consumable, perform the following steps:

1. Select **Asset** > **User** > **Manage Asset** > **Asset Inventory.**
2. On the **ASSET INVENTORY** page, under the **SELECT THE ASSET TYPE** section, click **CONSUMABLE**.
3. On the **CONSUMABLE page**, the **FILTERS** pop-up page is displayed. Select the value for **Status** as *Inactive* and select the other required filter criteria. Click **SUBMIT.**
4. The list of Consumable based on the filter criteria is displayed.
5. Select the check box corresponding to the Consumable that you want to delete. You can delete multiple Consumable at a time. 6. A confirmation message is displayed. Click **OK** to delete the Consumable.
