The **Expiry Date** is dynamically updated to ensure that the proposed standard change remains valid and complies with change management policies. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/62351b42-cfbd-43ad-8ce1-82b8f455337f/Images/Documentation/Designer(1).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-07T16%3A12%3A07Z&se=2026-11-07T17%3A12%3A07Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=2iy1p0tWpD0CbKZfmfqLAT7FtWEo6LstRwGD4XF4gc0%3D) ### Expiry Date Calculation Rules - [Initial Expiry Date Calculation](/apex/docs/dynamic-expiry-date-validation#rule-1-initial-expiry-date-calculation) - [Planned End Date Update](/apex/docs/dynamic-expiry-date-validation#rule-2-planned-end-date-update) - [Past Planned End Date](/apex/docs/dynamic-expiry-date-validation#rule-3-planned-end-date-in-the-past) #### Rule 1: Initial Expiry Date Calculation When a user converts a normal change** record to a Standard Change Record using the **Propose for Standard** checkbox, then: - The change record displays the **Expiry Date** field and is automatically populated based on **Log Time**. - The system calculates the earliest Expiry Date as: - `Log Time + 90 Days` - Users can change the Expiry Date up to: - `Log Time + 3 Years` #### Rule 2: Planned End Date Update When the user updates **Planned End Date** greater than the current Log Time: - The system automatically recalculates the Expiry Date as: - `Planned End Date + 90 Days` - The updated Expiry Date reflects the new **Planned End Date** value. #### Rule 3: Planned End Date in the Past When the **Planned End Date** is earlier than the current Log Time: - The system ignores the Planned End Date for Expiry Date calculation. - The system recalculates the Expiry Date based on Log Time as: - `Log Time + 90 Days` This ensures that the Expiry Date always remains a valid future date. ### Expiry Date Functionality Based on Log Time and Planned End Date To verify the Expiry Date functionality, perform the following steps: 1.
