# Groups

**Group** configuration allows users to manage email groups by creating, editing, and saving them with specific names and email addresses. The configuration includes values such as **Group Name**, **Group Email Addresses**, and an **Active** toggle to enable or disable the group as needed.

To configure new group, perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to **SA** > **Configuration** > **Notification** > **Groups**.
2. Click **Add** icon from the right action panel in the Groups List page to configure a new Group.

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Group Name | Displays the unique name of the group. This is a clickable link that typically navigates to the group details page for viewing or editing the group configuration. |
| Channel Type | Indicates the communication channel associated with the group, such as **Email**. This defines how notifications or messages are delivered to members of the group. |
| Active | Represents whether the group is currently enabled. - **True** – The group is active and can be used for notifications. - **False** – The group is inactive and not used for message delivery. |
| Created By | Shows the name or identifier of the user who originally created the group. Useful for audit and ownership tracking. |
| Last Updated By | Displays the name or identifier of the user who last modified the group configuration. |
| Last Updated Date | Indicates the date and time when the group was last updated. This helps track recent changes and configuration history. |
3. Enter the required details on the New Group configuration page as shown below and click **Submit.**.

> Under the **Group Email Address**, you can specify any external email address(s).
4. The saved group will be displayed on the **Groups** List page. To modify group details, click the Group Name hyperlink. This will open the Edit Group page, where you can make the necessary changes.

## Actions on the Groups List page

Following are the list of actions on the groups List page:

| Action | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Filters | Opens the filter panel, allowing users to narrow down the groups displayed in the list based on available attributes such as **Group Name**, **Channel Type**, or **Active status**. This helps users quickly locate specific groups. |
| Configure Columns | Allows users to customize the Groups list view by selecting which columns are visible or hidden. This enables a personalized view tailored to user roles or preferences. |
| Add New | Opens the **Create Group** page, enabling users to define and add a new group by specifying details such as group name, channel type, and activation status. |

## Actions on Add New Group Page

Following is the action that is performed on the Add New Group page:

| Actions | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Show List | Navigates the user back to the **Groups List page**, displaying all existing groups. This action allows users to return to the list view without saving any changes made on the current screen. It is typically used for quick navigation or review of other groups. |
