# Theme Configuration

Themes let you customize the look and feel of the application. You can personalize a theme by choosing colors, layouts, fonts, and font sizes to match your preferences. You can set the theme color to the company’s primary color or select from the predefined color palettes. After you configure a theme, you can apply it to update the application’s appearance. Applying a theme ensures a consistent style across the interface and enhances the overall user experience.

#### **Reconfigure Themes and Associated Scripts for Migrating to Apex v1.x**

When migrating from **Elbrus** or **Apex 2.0 v1.2** to **Apex 2.0 v1.x (where 1.x refers to:** ***Apex 2.0 v1.2, 1.3, 1.4 or future 1.x releases*)**, the following updates are required:

- **Theme reconfiguration is mandatory.** All existing themes must be recreated or reconfigured to align with the updated platform requirements.
- **Application‑level scripts tied to themes also require reconfiguration.** Any script previously associated with a theme must be reviewed and updated to ensure compatibility after the migration.
- **Engineering teams responsible for theme setup should perform a full review.** Engineers must verify that all scripts connected to theme behavior are revalidated, updated, and reapplied as needed.
- **Existing script details can be recovered from the database.** Script metadata stored in the system database can be retrieved and reused when configuring newly created themes, ensuring continuity and reducing manual rework.

The **Preview** option enables you to view how the application interface will look with either the Standard or Contrast themes before applying them. This feature helps you make an informed choice by allowing them to compare readability, accessibility, and visual appearance without altering the actual theme settings.

Selecting the **Use your brand assets (logo/primary color)** radio button (which is the default option) enables you to select a logo by clicking![](https://cdn.document360.io/62351b42-cfbd-43ad-8ce1-82b8f455337f/Images/Documentation/download(1).jpg) or **+ Choose File** button. Once you select a logo, the theme automatically applies the primary brand color extracted from the logo to the Primary color extracted in the Preview section. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/62351b42-cfbd-43ad-8ce1-82b8f455337f/Images/Documentation/image-IOZAOKFJ.png)Figure: Using brand guidelines
