# Expression Editor

A report's expression editor is a feature that lets users add, alter, or adjust expressions that are used to construct conditions or computed fields. You can define expressions that can compute the value when a document is generated at runtime using the Properties panel.

1. 2. Click the **Ellipsis** menu for the editor to be displayed.

3. Expression editor offers multiple options such as functions, operators, data source fields, report elements, constants, and variables to create an expression.

4. You can add multiple lines of expression.

The options available on the Expression Editor page to create an expression are explained below.

| **Field** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
