# Notify Recipients

### **Send notifications using Custom Email IDs**

Email notifications are a way to keep the recipients updated on the progress of your projects through emails. You can choose an email template and set rules to receive email notifications for events as shown in the below infographic.

To create a Email Notification using a Custom Email ID, perform the following steps:

1. Under the Actions menu, click **Add** **Notification**

2. Enter a **Name,** select the **Notification** **Medium** as **Email** and select a Pre-defined **Notification Template** from the dropdown.

3. Select **Email** > Under the **Recipient** Section, in the **To** dropdown select **Custom Email IDs** and type in the email id.

4. 5. Click **Next** to Publish.
