License Configuration in Service Automation
License Key is a unique code or string of characters that is used to verify the legitimacy and authenticity of software or digital products. It is encrypted and acts as a digital signature that grants a user the right to access and use the Service Automation Application.
The following infographics summarize what’s new in this new License Configuration.
A new menu License is introduced in Application Settings of Service Automation application.
To configure the License, perform the following steps:
- Navigate to Settings > Application Settings > License. LICENSE CONFIGURATION page is displayed.

The following table provides details on fields and their descriptions present on License Configuration page:
Field | Description |
---|---|
License Key * | Unique key with alphanumeric characters which is specifically generated and validates number of executions. Note Contact License team to generate and obtain valid license key. |
Total Count | The allotted number of executions for that license key. |
Consumed Count | Number of executions completed. If Consumed Count = Total Count, then the execution of scripts is blocked. |
Usage Percentage | The percentage calculation is as follows: (Consumed Count / Total count) *100 |
License History Icon | Displays the entire history of updates of license keys with timestamp. |
Validation Scenarios
Specific messages are conveyed to User on the consumption of license keys.
1. When the User is entering the License Key for the first time. The following screen is displayed.
2. When there is 80% consumption of license, the following message is displayed.
3. When there is 90% consumption of license, the following message is displayed.
4. When there is 100% consumption of license, the execution of scripts is blocked, and the following message appears across the Service Automation Application.
5. Enter plain text in License Key field and click Save, then the following message is displayed.
