This space includes updates designed to improve the Skills and Workflow screens. These changes aim to simplify the management of skills and workflows, enhancing usability and adding new features to help users work more efficiently on the platform.
Let’s check out each enhancement in detail!
Addition of Remote CI and Proxy CI options as Target Host Types in skill properties of ITSM workflows
This feature introduces two new options, Remote CI and Summit AI Proxy Server / Execution Server, to the Target Host Type in the skill properties of ITSM Workflows. Users can now specify these target host types while configuring workflows for ITSM events, enhancing flexibility and control over workflow execution.

Export and Import workflows with associated skills
Background: Previously, creating a new workflow required the user to first export and import the skills, and then export and import the workflows. This process was tedious, time-consuming, and complicated.
This feature now allows users to export workflows with their skills in one step. Users can also import these workflows with all the skills included, making the process simpler and faster.
Versioning of Skills during Import
Scenario:
Two environments: Environment A and Environment B.
A workflow named Beta exists in Environment A and needs to be implemented in Environment B.
Steps to Import Workflow:
Export Workflow Beta from Environment A:
Workflow Beta includes:
Skill ABC - Version 1
Skill DFG - Version 1
Import Workflow Beta to Environment B:
After import, check the status of skills in Environment B.
Versioning Logic:
If skills do not exist in Environment B, the skills versioning will be version 1.
Example:
Skill ABC - Status: New - Version 1
Skill DFG - Status: New - Version 1
If skills already exist in Environment B, the version number will be incremented upon import.
Example:
Skill ABC - Status: New - Version 2 (existing Version 1 already present)
Skill DFG - Status: New - Version 2 (existing Version 1 already present)
Summary Table
Environment | Workflow | Skills | Status | Version |
---|---|---|---|---|
A | Beta | ABC | N/A | 1 |
A | Beta | DFG | N/A | 1 |
B (Imported) | Beta | ABC | New | 1 |
B (Imported) | Beta | DFG | New | 1 |
B (Existing) | Beta | ABC | New | 2 |
B (Existing) | Beta | DFG | New | 2 |
