Common filters in Data Widget allow users to specify a timeframe for the data displayed within the widget.
These filters are essential for focusing on specific time ranges, such as hours, days, weeks, months, or custom date ranges, depending on the requirements.
Configure Common Filters in Data Widget
This section contains the list of steps using which you can select the date time field in the data widget for applying the common global filter.
To configure the common filters, perform the following steps:
Navigate to Design Portal of specific portal and click the common filter icon at the top right corner of the Canvas. The properties of this filter icon can be modified. Refer to screenshot below for more details.

Specify the Tool tip that should appear when the mouse is hovered over the common Filter field. When the mouse is hovered over the Filter field drop-down the following Tooltip appears as shown below:

Enable the switch to hide the filter on the consumer screen.

Select the default filter for which data should be displayed on the consumer screen from the drop-down list.
Figure: Default Filter You can set the Default Filter in the properties, ensuring that it automatically applies when no filter is selected or when the portal loads initially.
Enable the switch to load the portal without any filter for the first time. No default filter will be applied.
Figure: Clear filter If this switch is disabled, then the portal will load with Default Filter for the first time.
Click Submit to save the properties of Filter.
