Configure Group Entry

This section contains the list of steps using which Administrator can configure the Record Attribute Groups Entry.

To configure the Group Entryperform the following steps:

  1.  Navigate to Groups > Record Attribute Groups

  2. Select the Record Attribute Groups template and enter the value under the column in the General tab. ETR Notification based on Workgroup and Category is the column name created under ETR Notification based on Workgroup and Category Record Attribute Template. Refer to Add Group for more details.

    Here IT Server Restart is given as a field value under the column. If an incident falls into a category or is assigned to a workgroup where IT Server Restart is the specified resolution action, the system will provide an estimated time for when the server restart is expected to be completed. This information can be crucial for managing expectations and planning around server maintenance and downtime.

  3.  Navigate to Group Criteria tab and specify the values under Workgroup and Tenant. Here Server Team and IT Department are selected from the field value. Refer to the screenshot below.Figure: Group Criteria

  4. Select By Users and By Groups for adding new Users. If you have selected By Users, then enter the first name of the User in the text field.

    The users cannot be edited in the current group configuration screen.

    If you have selected By Groups, then enter the first name of the Group in the text field.

  5. Click the Filter icon on the user control.

  6. You can Add a Condition or Add a Group under Filters to add new Users.

    You can add multiple users at a time by clicking on the filter icon adjacent to the user control and the Filters window is displayed as shown below.

  7. Filter the users based on Add Condition. Refer to the screenshot for more details.Figure: Group conditions

  8. Click Apply to activate the Filters. Users matching the filtering criteria are reflected in the grid view. The screenshot displays the Filters field for User Name that Contains the alphabet 'a'.

    Note
    • The operator loads based on the data type of the selected field.
    • The values control loads based on the selected field & operator.
    • You can enter multiple rows of filters by clicking on the ‘+’ icon.
    • You can define AND/ OR relationship between the filters.
    • You can define group relationships across filters.

    The list displays the names of Users containing the alphabet 'a.

  9. Click Update to add new Users to the list.
