User Persona: Analyst
Solution
Adam the Discovery Analyst wants to generate reports that provide insights into network performance, asset utilization, compliance status, and security vulnerabilities.Adam can use the Discovery Details functionality. He analyzes the collected data to identify opportunities for improving network efficiency.

An Analyst can perform the following key actions in the Discovery module:

  • Configure Discovery job
  • View the list of discovered asset details

 Manage Discovery 

To configure the User Dashboard, perform the following steps. 

  1.  Navigate to Home > Analyst > Discovery.Figure: Discovery

  2.  Click Discovery, and the following page is displayed.Figure: User Dashboard

  3.  Navigate to Discovery on the left panel and the page appears as shown below.Figure: Details and Jobs

  4.  Click Discovered Details and the following page is displayed.Figure: Discovery details

    • Click the icon to export the current page or export all the details to an Excel sheet
    • The options for export are displayed as shown  


  5. Click the Id to get the details of Discovery ID. The page is displayed as shown below.

    Name of the Tenant.

    Serial number of a specific model or brand.

    IP Address
    IP address assigned to device connected to a computer network is displayed.

    Device Type
    The device type identified is a Computer.

    Protocol
    The protocol used for secure remote access is SSH.

    It shows that the proxy with the identifier is operational.

    General Details
    System Name
    It is the name of system within an organization.

    RAM Size
     It refers to the amount of memory (in gigabytes or GB) that a computer system has for temporary storage and quick access to data.

    It is the classification or categorization of a computer system based on its architecture, hardware configuration, operating system, or intended use.

    It refers to the amount of random-access memory (RAM) available in a computer system or device.

    The name of CPU is displayed under the field value.
