What is a Priority Matrix?

A priority matrix is a tool used for decision-making and time management. It helps individuals or teams prioritize tasks based on their urgency and Impact. If a Priority Matrix is configured, the change can auto select the Priority based on the selected combination of Impact and Urgency. You can create a configuration in Global Tenant which is inherited from all the Local Tenants.

Solution
NovaTech is launching a new product. To ensure a successful launch, Sam, the Application Designer who is working on the product wants to identify and prioritize key tasks.
To accomplish this, a priority matrix can be used to manage and prioritize tasks, projects, and goals effectively. It helps individuals and teams visualize their workload and make informed decisions about where to allocate time and resources.


Configure Priority Matrix

To Configure a Priority Matrix, perform the following steps: 

1. Navigate to Design Studio > Select Module > Configuration > Change Matrices > Priority Matrix. The Priority Matrix Listing page is displayed.

2. Click New. The PIR Reviewer ID page is displayed.

3. Enter the required details as described in the following table and click Save.

FieldDescription
Tenant*Select the Tenant from the list. This is a mandatory field.
Change TypeSelect the Change Type for which you want to configure the PIR Reviewer.
CategorySelect the Category from the drop-down list.
WorkgroupSelect the workgroup from the drop-down list. Available options are based on the Workgroup configuration done at Admin level.
Change CategorySelect the change category from the drop-down list. Available options are based on the Change Category configuration done at Change module level.
PIR ReviewerType in the name of the person you want to configure as PIR Reviewer for the selected Tenant.
DefaultSelect the check box to display the PIR Reviewer ID for the selected Tenant, by default.
ActiveSelect the check box to make the PIR Reviewer ID available on the other pages of the application.
