Dynamic Operator
One of the powerful operator to handle dynamic scales is made available on the Operator field. This enables the user to configure the field in order to operate based on the dynamic input for the configured scale in the selected Table. Providing the flexibility to build complex conditions based on the user’s selection.
Dynamic Operator for Scale Fields
Dynamic Operator functionality is about making field operations adaptable and context-sensitive, which is important for customizing behavior based on user interaction, conditions, or logic.
Dynamic Operator for Scale Functionality Example
A Table with integer field named Risk is calculated according to the configured Survey for which a scale (range) is predefined. Based on the answers to the questionnaire a dynamic condition such as Dynamic Greater Than or Dynamic Less Than is applied to update the Risk field value.
Benefits
The operator used is determined at runtime or based on conditions, which makes the system more adaptable.
Dynamic operators often rely on user input or interaction to determine which operator is applied.
They enable users to create complex logic and calculations that can change based on inputs or conditions in real-time.
Configure
To configure a dynamic operator, perform the following steps:
Navigate to the page that has Field Operator and Value.
Click +Add Filter Set.
Select a field from the table that is configured with Dynamic operator with a scale.
If the input field is configured to determine based on the scale (From & To), then the Operator displays Dynamic option for all the options in the dropdown list.
