Define Characteristics

Tags are a feature available on Apex that allows the creation of unique labels for tickets or any records. The use of tags in Apex can help streamline and organize the management of IT services, assets, and processes, making it easier for IT teams to track, prioritize, and resolve issues or changes efficiently.

Create Tags

Creating tags aims to improve the efficiency with which analysts conduct transactional operations by classifying the records based on the tags. 

To create a new tag, perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to Design Studio > select Module > Designers > Tags.
   The List of Tags page is displayed.

2. Click New to configure a new tag.
   
   
3. Enter the mandatory details and choose a unique color for the Tag. To know more about the fields, see Field Description.

Field Description

The following table explains the fields available on the general tab. 

Field	Description
General
Tenant*	Specify the tenant for which the tag has to be configured.
Tag Name*	Mention the name of the tag. The names of the tags should be unique and must not be repeated.
Color Code*	Specify the color of the tag. The colors can be mentioned in RGB, HSL, or HEX formats. Figure: Color code
Active	Enable to the toggle button to make the tag Active.
