Increased Form Name Character Limit and Special Characters Support
This enhancement allows users to create more descriptive and meaningful form names by extending the character limit and enabling special characters. It improves usability by removing unnecessary restrictions and enhances system compatibility with various naming conventions used in business processes.
It has been introduced for Name field under General step of the Form Designer.
Increase Character Limit: Extend Form Name length from 40 to 100 characters for more descriptive names.
Allow Special Characters: Enable $, &, (, ),- and _ in form names for greater flexibility.
A sample screenshot is shown below, where a form name is mentioned as
A desktop &computer is a powerful$ stationary_ (computing) device designed for home_ office_ purpose.

If an invalid special character, such as '@', is entered, a validation message will be displayed when the Next button is clicked.
“Enter a valid input with allowed special characters $&()-_.”
A sample screenshot is shown below:

Table Name
The generated Table Name will accept the first 40 characters from the Form Name and only the hyphen (_) as a special character. Any other special characters in the Form Name will be removed when saving the Table Name.
Example
Form Name:
"A desktop & computer is a powerful stationary (computing) device designed for home office use."
Table Name:
"adesktopcomputerisapowerfulstationary_co"
The table name will only accept the underscore (_) as a special character, and all other special characters (such as &, (, ), and $) from the form name will be removed.
