Under Apex, you can add a chic and modern website Tagline and alter its layout to meet your company's design.
So let us drag the Tagline widget from the out of the box widget list and drop it wherever you need on the Service Portal!
User persona: Application Designer
Use Case | Solution |
John, an application designer, wants to add a sleek Tagline to the company portal screen and their project brand name to wider audience. | John can select Tagline widget and configure the generic features of widgets using Properties option. |

Configuring the Tag Line Widgets
This section contains the list of steps using which Administrator can select the Tagline widget in the Service Portal through the Design Portal screen.
- Navigate to Home > Service Portal > Add Service Portal > Widgets > Tagline.

The Properties pop-up window appears as shown:

- If you select Generic, then you can give a title to the Tagline using the Textbox. Click Save.

The Tagline is displayed on the Service Portal as shown:
Figure: Tagline text - You can define the time duration for each tagline using the From and To time for which the time should be displayed by selecting the time zone from drop-down list.

The related fields for From and To is specified as 06.00 and 12.00 with Tagline text is Good morning and it appears as shown:

Figure: Default Tagline - You can add more time-based Tagline to the Service Portal using + icon in the Tagline Properties pop-up window. Click Save to save the configurations.

The Tagline appears as per the time zone of the Service Portal screen as shown:

The logged-in user's time zone is used by default as the time zone value for this field. - You can remove the Tagline from the list of taglines by clicking the delete icon.
- Navigate to Appearance section and edit the properties of the widget.

The table below contains the list of fields and their descriptions that are available under the Appearance section:

If Radius is zero, then corners will be sharp, if radius is increased then the corners will become rounded.Save Click Save to save the widget properties in Service Portal designer screen.

If you click Cancel properties will not save, and Properties pop-up window will close!Cancel Click Cancel to discard the properties and a pop-up window as shown below appears on your screen asking for confirmation to cancel this! Figure: Confirmation window
Click Yes to discard the entered values and go back to the Service Portal Designer Screen.
Switch No to proceed with Service Portal configuration or click X to close the confirmation pop-up window. You can go back to the Properties screen and view all the previously entered or selected values.
- Navigate to Code tab, here you can modify the HTML and CSS code for the Widget properties.
