Define Workflow Characteristics

Workflow Designer enables you to create a complex workflow without any coding expertise based on your business requirement. Now that you have acquired an understanding of the functionalities provided by the Workflow Designer, let's proceed to learn how to construct a workflow from the ground up.
To create or design a workflow, the required details should be entered by an Application Designer in the subsequent tabs:

General
The General stepper enables you to enter all the basic information required to create a workflow.
To create a workflow, perform the following steps:
- Navigate to Design Studio > Module tab, select a module > Workflow Designer.
- Select the required Domain and Sub Domain. The Domain and Sub Domain are displayed according to the privileges of the logged-in user.

The Add Workflow screen is displayed.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Workflow Name * | Enter the workflow name for which a new workflow is being created. Ensure that the entered workflow name is unique and does not have any duplicates. You can enter a maximum of 200 characters. |
Type * | Select the type of workflows. The options available are:

Description | Enter the workflow description to describe the exact purpose of creating a workflow. You can enter a maximum of 2000 characters. |
Execution Order * | Specify the number of execution orders. The sequence of workflow execution is determined by the assigned execution order number.

Domains * | By default, the name of the domain for which the workflow is been configured is displayed. |
Sub Domain * | By default, the sub domain name is associated with the selected domain is displayed. |
Tenant * | By default, the name of the tenant configured for the selected domain and sub domain is displayed. |
Table * | The forms (main form or sub form) created in the Form Designer required to create a workflow is displayed in the list. |
Active | By default, the Active switch is turned on which indicates that this workflow is active. Notes

- When users create or update a workflow, the system must ensure new records follow the latest version, without affecting existing ones.
- An asterisk (*) represents mandatory field.
Set Trigger & Conditions
The Set Triger & Conditions section enables you to set the Trigger event and Condition based on which the workflow is executed. For more information, refer to Set Trigger & Conditions.
Design Workflow
