AD Import
The process of importing data into Active Directory (AD), a directory service created by Microsoft for Windows domain networks, is commonly referred to as AD import. Within a network environment, Active Directory is used to store data about machines, groups, users, and other resources. It is necessary to keep a Windows-based network environment's directory service structured and current.
AD Import can involve the following activities
• Import User Accounts
• Import Computer Accounts
• Importing Organizational Units (OUs)
• Importing Other Directory Objects
Importing Users from Cloud
Active Directory is usually used for resource management, user authentication, and centralized network administration. The process of "importing" Active Directory may entail a number of steps, including synchronizing user data, establishing access rights, and integrating it with another system, depending on your goals.
Importing users from cloud is a two-step process
1. Configure the relevant API (Microsoft Entra ID or OKTA User Import) in the API Configuration
2. Configure the Scheduler to run the job
