In a Configuration Management Database (CMDB), the term Lifecycle Status typically refers to the current stage or status of a configuration item (CI) within its lifecycle. The lifecycle status provides information about the state of a CI at any given point in time, which is essential for managing and tracking changes, upgrades, and decommissioning activities.

User persona: Administrator

Configure Lifecycle Status

To configure Lifecycle Status, perform the following steps:

  1. Select CMDB > Lifecycle Status. Lifecycle Status List page is displayed.

  2. Click New to configure Lifecycle Status.

  3.  Specify the Tenant from the drop-down list and Status (Eg: Retired, Maintenance, Operational etc.) under the field values.

  4.  Click Save to save the configuration for the Lifecycle Status.
