Master Value

Master Value refers to the core data entities that are essential to a business and are typically shared across multiple applications or business processes within an organization. Examples of master values include customer information, product details, employee records, etc. Master values are usually considered relatively stable and do not change frequently. The following needs to be defined to create Master Value at the Application Level.
Add Master Value
This is the first step in defining a Master Value. It can be configured by adding a unique name and description to define the purpose of your new Master Value.

Notes
The Master Value name has a character limit of 200 characters, providing flexibility in naming the Master Value.
The Master Value name may include special characters such as $, &, (, ), _, and -. If any other special character is entered, a validation message is displayed.

If the Value name contains more than 200 characters, a validation message is “Master Value cannot exceed 200 characters” displayed.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Master Type | Select the Master Type from the dropdown for which you want to create a Master Value. |
Value | Specify the name of the Master Value to be created in Text format. Multiple values can be added using comma separation. |
Sort Order | Specify a sort order value of your choice. This should be a numeric value. There will be a default sort order value (1) displayed. |
Active | Enable the Active button to activate or disable the Active button to deactivate the Role Template. |
Post entering all the details, click Next to move to the next screen.
