My Assets page is designed to empower you with seamless control over your allocated assets. Effortlessly navigate through your assets, accepting, rejecting, and returning them as needed. Below is a brief overview of the key features and actions available to you:

  • View Assets: Gain insights into the assets allocated to you. Browse through the comprehensive list of assets, including their names, types, quantities, and current status.

  • Accept Assets: Take ownership of allocated assets by accepting them. Acceptance signifies your commitment to utilizing and maintaining the assets responsibly.

  • Reject Assets: If you identify any discrepancies or issues with allocated assets, you have the option to reject them. Provide detailed reasons for rejection to facilitate effective asset management.

  • Reconcile: Resolve discrepancies in asset allocation or usage through the reconciliation feature. Address errors or inaccuracies promptly to maintain accurate asset records.

  • Update Asset Usage: Keep track of asset utilization by updating relevant information such as location, status, or condition changes. Accurate usage data enhances transparency and facilitates informed decision-making.

User Persona: End User

Solution

Amy, a talented software engineer, recently accepted an offer to join ACME IT Solutions known for its cutting-edge technology solutions.
As part of the onboarding process, Amy receives a comprehensive welcome package, including access credentials to the company's intranet portal and APEX Asset Management application.

Amy can access the APEX Asset Management Application and get a comprehensive view of all the assets allocated to her through the My Assets page.
She can view, accept, reject, return, send assets to reconciliation, and update asset usage through this page.

Manage My Assets

To manage assets assigned to you, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Asset Management > My Entitlements > My Assets. My Assets List page is displayed.

  2. To accept the assigned asset, check for Pending Acceptance status and click the Asset Code hyperlink to access the details page.

  3. Click Accept Asset   to accept and click Reject Asset   to reject the particular asset.

  4.  Upon clicking Accept Asset, the following Accept Asset pop-up is displayed.

    Field Description

    The following table provides details about fields:

    Asset Usage Type

    Select the desired usage type of the asset. Example: Primary or Secondary.

    Remarks

    Enter a brief remarks on asset acceptance.

    Upload Signature

    Upload the digital signature file.

    I agree to Terms and Conditions

    Select this check box to accept the terms and conditions and proceed further with asset acceptance.

    Survey Questions

    Read and provide relevant answers for the survey questions.

    The Terms and Conditions information pop-up is displayed as follows:

    Note

    Selecting Terms & Conditions check box is mandatory, without which the asset acceptance form cannot be submitted.

  5.  To view the assets under Reconciliation, check for Pending Reconciliation status and click the Asset Code hyperlink to access the details page.

User Communication

End Users can use this section to provide any feedback or information that needs to be shared with the Asset Analyst.

  1. Click the kebab menu on the asset details page to select User Communication option.

  2. The User Communication pop-up is displayed as follows. Enter all the required information in the Communication grid. Attach any relevant documents and click Save.
