Article summary

In the General configuration, Application Designer will define the name and select the type of record which is used to display the grids, along with the Description and Platform Components.

To configure a new Notification Template, perform the following steps:

  1.  Log in as an Application Designer.
    App portal  is displayed.

  2.  Select Application in the Application Group.
    Dashboard screen is displayed.

  3.  Select the Settings icon from the top panel.
    List of studios are displayed.

  4. Navigate to Design Studio > Module > Designers > Notification Designer.
    Notification Designer screen is displayed, select Domain and Sub Domain.

  5.  Select Tenant tab under which the notification template must be created. Based on the selected Domain and Sub Domain, Tenant tabs are displayed.

  6.  Click New Notification to create a notification template.
    The General configuration screen is displayed.

  7. Enter the appropriate values in the required fields.
    For information about the configuration fields, refer to the following table:

    Description

    Notification Name*

    Enter the name of the notification template, it should have an unique value. Notification Name generally defines the purpose of the Notification.

    Note

    Upon navigating to the next step if the Notification Name already exists within the Tenant then the entered name is not accepted.

    Notification Description

    Enter the details of the description that suits the purpose of the notification template. A concise yet comprehensive description of the notification template is provided. 

    Domain*

    Indicates the name of the Domain, based on the selection in the List page the Domain value is pre-populated in this stepper.

    Sub Domain*

    Indicates the name of the Sub Domain, based on the selection in the List page the Sub Domain value is pre-populated in this stepper.

    Tenant*

    Indicates the name of the Tenant, the Tenant name is auto-populated based on the selected Tenant tab on the list page.

    Note

    Multiple Tenants can be selected from multi-select option in the dropdown list.

    Record Type*

    Select the Type of Record, following are the types of records available:

    • Single Record: Choosing a Single Record will display the details of only one record in the Grid view. Depending on style such as Vertical or Horizontal a Grid is represented.

    • Multi Record: Choosing a Multi Record will display the details of multiple records in the Grid view. Depending on style such as Vertical or Horizontal representation.

    Active

    Active option will display if the Notification Template is available to use in the application.
    If Active is enabled, it indicates that the Template is currently active and operational within the application.

    Note

    The default value for the Active switch is always enabled at the time of configuration unless the Application Designer disables it for any specific reason.

  8.  Click Next.
    This action will navigate the configuration screen to the Medium stepper.
