Operational Level Agreement

Article summary

An administrator will configure the Operational Level Specification(OLS) and assign the Source and Target Workgroups. Upon successfully configuring an OLS, an Approver should be a user who is the owner of Source Workgroup  and Target Workgroup.

Process Flow Overview

  • Admin and Approver logins initiate the process.

  • The process starts with configuring the Operational Level Specification (OLS).

  • OLS approval on both source and target leads to Operation Level Agreement (OLA) generation.

  • The process concludes with viewing the OLA.

Prerequisite

Create an Operational Level Specification as an Admin. For more information,  refer OLS Configuration.

After creating OLS, a success message is displayed. click Ok.

Approve OLS and Create OLA

To Approve an OLS, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to the Application as an Approver.
    Ensure that you are owner of the Source and Target Workgroups.

  2. Navigate to SLA > User > Operational Level > Operational Level Specification List.
    Operational Level Specification List is displayed which is listed with the OLS that was created as a prerequisite.

  3. Select an OLS configuration which needs to be approved.
    Example: OLS-50

  4. Go to Approvals tab and from the Status dropdown select Approved for both Source and Target Workgroups. Enter Remarks to approve the OLS.

  5. Click Submit to approve the OLS.

  6. Upon approving OLS an OLA for the corresponding OLS is created along with the ID.
    Example: You have approved OLS-50 and and associated OLA is created with OLA-39.

  7. Navigate to SLA > User > Operation Level > Operational Level Agreement List.
    OLA List is displayed.

  8. Select the OLA to view the Agreement. OLA for the approved OLS is displayed along with the IDs.
    Example: The OLS was created with OLS-50 ID and you have approved the OLS-50 an OLA-39 is created and is viewed from OLA List.
