Workflow Canvas Layout is a one-stop for all your crucial workflow needs. You can drag, drop, and connect various components to illustrate into a workflow based on the business requirement.
The Workflow Canvas Layout comprises the following entities:
1. Workflow Stepper
2. Canvas
3. Left Pane of Canvas
4. Workflow Component Library

1. Workflow Stepper
The Canvas Banner provides quick access to the different steppers of the workflow, such as General, Set Trigger & Conditions, Design Workflow, Summary, Publish. It also displays:
- The navigation path of the canvas.
- Newly created workflow designer name with an editable facility that navigates you to the General parameter screens.
The icons appearing on the Canvas Banner signify the current step in the process. After configuring and saving the workflow, you can conveniently click on the following steppers to swiftly navigate to it and access the relevant details.
2. Canvas
In the Canvas section, you have the ability to create intricate workflows without the need for coding, aligning with your creative ideas and specifications. You can simply drag and drop components from the Left Panel and establish connections by dragging a connector arrow to link them with other components.
The canvas initially includes the Begin and End entities, by default. The starting point for connections is the Begin entity, and the connection concludes at the End entity.
3. Left Pane of Canvas
A list of attributes is presented, allowing you to drag and drop them onto the Canvas to organize the workflow. Various options are provided to execute specific actions.

Undo icon provides a quick way to reverse an action and correct any errors made during the workflow design. | |
Redo icon revert a previous action and enables you to reapply the undone action if they determine that it was the correct step. It provides a flexible and reversible way to navigate through the workflow changes. | |
Pin icon allows users to maximize and minimize the component panel, it is useful when working on complex workflows that require a clear and unobstructed view of the design. | |
Zoom in icon enables you to examine closely the details of the workflow. It is essential for a close examination of specific components, connections, or details within a complex process, ensuring a thorough understanding and adheres to specific design standards. | |
Zoom out icon provides visual clarity by displaying the broader structure and relationships between components. This is particularly useful for understanding the flow and dependencies in larger and more complex workflows. |

Approvals
The Approval component enables you to configure an approver to render an appropriate approval actions based on the business requirement. For more information, refer to Approval.
Condition
The Conditions are often used to create decision points within the workflow. These decision points allow the workflow to branch in different directions based on certain criteria or conditions being met. For more information, refer Conditions.
Utilities
The Utilities are automation tools that help streamline repetitive tasks and processes. For more information, refer Utilities.
Notifications
Notifications allow for the communication of significant events, updates, or alterations taking place within a workflow. For more information, refer Notification.
Create Record
The Create Record enables you to create a workflow record for the selected target modules. For more information, refer to Create Record.
Sub Workflow
Sub Workflow enables you to breaks down complex tasks into a concise set of smaller sub-tasks, making it easier to execute and monitor each task efficiently. For more information, refer to Sub Workflow.
4. Workflow Component Library
The following table describes the Canvas buttons available in the workflow canvas:

< Previous | The Previous button enables you to navigate backward through a series of workflow steps to review entered information in earlier stages of a workflow. |
X Cancel | The Cancel button enables you to cancel the current process of a workflow and close the workflow screen when you decide not to proceed with a particular workflow. |
Validate Workflow | The Validate Workflow enables you to ensure the accuracy of the component entered into the workflow and adheres to the required workflow guidelines. |
> Next | The Next button enables you to advance through different steps and provides clear guidance to about the expected sequence of actions within the workflow. |
Hide Grid | The Hide Grid button allow you to hide the grid of the workflow to enhance visibility and focus on he components and connections without the visual distraction of the grid lines. It provides ability to switch the grid on or off according to their aesthetic preferences. |
Edit Workflow Name | Enable you to change the name of the workflow. It allows you to customize and correct the name of the workflow to improve clarity and consistency. |
