Article summary

Accessories Category configuration involves defining and organizing all the Accessories in a hierarchical structure to classify different types of accessories within the Asset management system.

This configuration helps organizations keep track of accessory inventory and facilitate accurate reporting on asset usage and associated accessories.

Let's explore the following use case!

Use Case

User Persona: Administrator

Solution

NovaTech is onboarding a dynamic group of new employees to enhance its workforce. Recognizing the diverse needs of its team, the company is gearing up to accommodate a range of essential Accessories to support seamless and efficient operations.

Accessories can serve as standalone assets, such as a headset. They can also be combined and used in conjunction with fixed assets, like a mouse or keyboard in a desktop setup.

To enhance tracking efficiency, Sandra can leverage the Accessories Category configuration. By creating a Root Node for the respective Tenant, she can categorize various accessories, further refining classifications with Child Nodes.
Easy customization options allow her to rename, deactivate, or set defaults based on specific needs.
