Use Case
User Persona: Administrator
Solution
NovaTech operates multiple offices and data centers across different regions. They need to efficiently manage their IT assets, including servers, networking equipment, workstations, and software licenses, at each location.Sandra, the Administrator can implement a Location Site Mapping configuration to address this challenge.

This setup involves configuring Site details alongside assigning designated roles such as Site Manager, Engineer, and Security Manager, tailored to specific Tenants, Asset Categories, and Locations.

Configure Location Matrix

To configure Location Matrix, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Design Studio > Asset Management Module > Configurations > Configurations > Location Matrix.
    The Location Site Mapping List page is displayed. Click New to create a new configuration.

  2.  On the Location Site Mapping Details page, provide the required details as shown below and click Save to save the configuration.
     For more information on fields, refer to Field Description table.

    After saving the configuration, it will promptly appear on the Location Site Mapping List page. Return to the Location Site Mapping List to review the most recent configuration record.

Field Description

This table contains the list of fields and their descriptions that are available under the Location Site Mapping Details page:

FieldDescription
TenantSelect the required Tenant from the list. This is a mandatory field.
Asset Category
Select the required Category from the list. This is a mandatory field.
For more information on configuring various category, refer to Asset Category.
LocationSelect the required Floor or Store to which you wish to add the Fixed Asset.
For more information on Asset Locations (Store and Floor), refer to AM Location Master - Overview.
Site NameEnter a unique Site Name to be configured.
Site Manager
Select the required Site Manager from the drop-down.
Site Engineer
Select the required Site Engineer from the drop-down.
Security Manager
Select the required Security Manager from the drop-down.
AddressEnter the correct detailed address of the site.
