Manage Your Software Assets with Precision.

A Software Asset refers to any piece of software that an organization owns, licenses, or utilizes as part of its operations. Managing Software Assets effectively involves tracking licenses, usage, and updates, and ensuring compliance with legal agreements and organizational policies.

Software Category configuration refers to the categorization and management of Software Assets associated with IT Assets. This involves defining and organizing a hierarchical structure or taxonomy to classify different types of software within the IT Asset management system.

Let's explore the following use case.
Use Case
User Persona: Administrator
Solution
NovaTech has been experiencing challenges in tracking and managing its diverse Software Assets. With multiple departments and varying software needs, they find it difficult to maintain an organized inventory and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.

They plan to categorize their Software Assets to better track usage, licenses, and compliance across the organization.

Sandra, the Administrator, can leverage the Software Category configuration to enhance software usage, licensing, and compliance.
By creating a Root Node for the respective Tenant, she can categorize various software, further refining classifications with Child Nodes. Easy customization options allow her to rename, deactivate, or set defaults based on specific needs.
