Preview

Preview option under the Service portal gives a real-time view of the user dashboard. It allows for instant evaluation of portal functionality, usability, and appearance across various devices such as Desktop, Tablet, or Mobile. When you click the Consumer button, you can get the exact look and feel experienced by consumers.

To Preview the portal, perform the following steps:

  1.  Navigate to Service Portal > Service Portal Details > Preview.
  2. Click Preview button at the bottom right corner of Service Portal canvas.Figure: Preview screen
  3. Click the Desktop, Tab, and Mobile view icons, and select the required screen resolution value for the Preview option.

  4.  Click Consumer button to get the exact look and feel experienced by consumers.

Publish Status

In Service Portal, the Publish Status feature is used to control the visibility of a portal page. By using this feature, Application Designer ensures that pages and widgets are only visible to end-users when ready for use.

Publish the portal

To Publish the Service Portal, perform the following steps:

  1.  Navigate to Service Portal > Service Portal Details > Publish.
  2.  Publish the component by selecting from the Designed or Published tab.Figure: Publish Status page - Designed
  3. Edit the component after it is published by changing the status to Maintenance.

    Note
    • When the portal is in Designed statusonly the component can be Published
    • After the component is Published, no changes can be made to the component.
    • Status can be changed to Retired only if the component is in a Published or Maintenance state.
    • When the component reaches the end of life, it is in a Retired state.
