Record Publisher control enables the user to communicate the status of the process and to provide clear and concise information to stakeholders involved in the organization's systems, services, or projects.

Use Case User Persona: Application Designer | Solution |
Change Management team in ACME HQ wants a status control to track Change Request (CR) lifecycle. The change window implemented for Risk Assessment and Approval, Scheduled Implementation, Validation and Verification should include a control that reflects the completed status and outcome of the CR(s). | John, the Application Designer at ACME can drag and drop the Record Publisher control on the form and configure the generic properties defined in the application settings to upload the file. Record Publisher control within IT service change management ensures that changes are well-managed, documented, and aligned with business needs. |

Configure Record Publisher control
The section contains the list of steps to perform the configuration of Record Publisher control. To configure Record Publisher, perform the following steps:
- Navigate to the General tab of Form Designer. Enter all mandatory details required for the Form.
- In Design Form tab, from the left pane select Widgets > Record Publisher.
- Drag and drop this control inside a panel to create a Record Publisher field.
- Click (Settings icon for this field) Record Publisher to view the Properties pop-up window.Figure: Adding Record Publisher control

Properties
This section contains the list of properties using which theApplication Designercan configure the label for the Publish Status. To know more about the fields that are available under the Properties section, see Field Description given below.

This table contains the list of fields and their descriptions that are available under the Properties section:

Label | Specify the label for the status. |
Public Record | Enable or disable the toggle bar to make the record public. Figure: Public Record |

Select Table | Select the table from the drop-down list. Figure: Table type |
Select a Field | Select the field from the drop-down list. If User Master is selected from the table, then the field value such as Email Id, Gender, Department etc. appears as shown below. Figure: Field value If Role is selected from the table type, then the Role Name appears under the field value. Figure: Role Name |
Click Save to save the configuration. The configured control appears on the form screen as shown below:
