The various elements available in the Toolbar and Toolbox used to design a report are explained in detail in the following section. Using the Toolbox elements, you can create the charts and layout of the report.

Field Description
This table contains the list of items and their descriptions that are available under the Toolbox in the Design Tab:

Cut | This option can be used to cut the selected control to the clipboard. |
Copy | This option can be used to copy the selected control to the clipboard. |
Paste | This option can be used to paste a control from the clipboard to the selected report band. |
Delete | This option can be used to delete the selected control. |
Undo | Cancels the last action made on the report. |
Redo | Reverses the last action made on the report. |
Zoom | This option can be used to zoom in or zoom out the report page.

Validate Bindings | This option indicates or highlights the report controls with invalid data bindings or incorrect expression. |
Full screen | This option toggles between the full screen and default size of the report designer. |

Label | A label control can be used to specify textual or graphical elements used to identify or provide information about an object, item, or concept. |
Check Box | A checkbox control can be used to add binary choices or select multiple options. It is accompanied by a label or text that can be checked or unchecked. |
Rich Text | A rich text field can be used to add rich text. It allows users to apply different styles, such as bold, italics, underline, colors, font sizes, and alignments, to their text. |
Picture Box | A picture box control can be used to display images or pictures within an application or interface. It can show images of different formats, such as JPEG, PNG, GIF, or BMP, allowing users to view visual content within the application. |
Panel | A panel control is used to organize and present information in a structured and visually appealing manner. It is an area within a report where related content, such as data, charts, tables, or text, can be grouped and displayed together. |
Table | A table can be used to represent data in the format of rows and columns. It displays data in a tabular form such as numeric values, text, or a combination of both. |
Character Comb | The Character Comb control displays text so that each character is printed in an individual cell. |
Line | A line control can be used to draw a line in a specified direction, style, width, and color. It can be used to decorate and visually separate a report's sections. |
Shape | A shape control can be used to draw various shapes. |
Barcode | A barcode control can be used to insert any form of barcode such as product codes, asset tags, etc. |
Chart | A chart control can be used to chart data to the report. It can be used to represent charts such as bars, pies, doughnuts, points, etc. |
Gauge | A gauge control is a graphical representation that visualizes a measurement or a value within a range or scale. It provides the capability to embed graphical gauges into reports. |
Sparkline | A sparkline is a simplified line chart or data visualization that presents trends, patterns, or variations in data over a specific period. |
Cross tab | A cross tab refers to a data visualization technique used to summarize and present the relationships between two or more categorical variables in a tabular format. |
Sub-Report | A sub-report control can be used to embed a separate report within a parent report. |
PDF Content | The PDF Content control allows you to render PDF file content as a separate report page or embed PDF content into a report. |
PDF Signature | The PDF Signature is a control that adds a visual signature to a report exported to PDF. |
Table of Contents | The table of contents control can be used to systematically represent the contents of the report. |
Page Info | The Page Info control is used to display auxiliary information on report pages, such as date, time, page numbers or username. |
Page Break | The Page Break control can be used to insert a page delimiter at any point within a report. |
Cross-band Line | The Cross-Band Line control draws vertical lines that can span multiple report bands. You can use this control to emphasize a report area that consists of different bands. |
Cross-band Box | The Cross-Band Box control draws rectangles through several report bands. This control can encompass a report section that includes multiple band areas. |
