Test Parser is for testing one particular Parser and is performed on the Actions stepper of the Notification Parser.

Every time the sequence that is followed while testing a parser is Approve > Update Record > Create Record.
The first check is at the Approve action and if that Action's configurations is not matching the mail, then the system checks the next Action that is Update Record.
If the Update Record Action's configuration is not matching the mail, then the system will create a new record if the last action Create Record matches the mail.

Test Parser Execution Logic

The following steps provide execution sequence in the Action stepper of Notification Parser:

For every action, the first check by the system is to validate if the Action is Active or Inactive.
If an Action is active, only then the system will check the configurations of the Action.
If the configurations is not matching for the first Action, then the system will check the next Action similarly.
When the system finds an Action matching to the mail then the system will not go further to check for the next action.
The system will process the mail for the most apt action.
If none of the action seems fit then the system will consider the mail as unprocessed mail and will either move or delete the mail as per configuration and the parsing will end.

To Test a parser, perform the following steps:

Select Notification Parser on the List page.
Navigate to Actions stepper and click Test Parser.

Test Parser is for selected record on the list page.
Mail Parser Simulator screen is displayed.
Either enter the details of Email or Attach an Email.
- Enter Email: Enter the appropriate details in the required fields such as From, Email Body. These details will be sent to the selected Mailbox hence, To field is not editable and is greyed with the Mailbox value.

- Import Email: Select an Email from the Attach Email field.

Click Run Test.
Confirmation message is displayed.
Click Yes.

The Test results are similar to as displayed on the Mailbox Simulator on the list page. For more information, refer to Mailbox Simulator.
