Use Case

User Persona: Administrator

Solution
Kevin, the Administrator at Novatech is facing the challenge of managing a growing number of IT service requests, incidents, and changes in his department. He wants a form control which can help to time spent on IT service delivery processes.John, the Application Designer can drag and drop the Total Efforts control on the form and name it as Total Efforts. He should select the field value as Effort under the label in the Properties section. This helps IT department to manage resources, time, and work involved in delivering services.

Configure Total Efforts control

The section contains the list of steps to perform the configuration of Total Efforts control.

  1. Navigate to the General tab of Form Designer. Enter all mandatory details required for the Form.
  2. In Design Form tab, from the left pane select Widgets > Total Efforts.
  3. Drag and drop this control inside a panel to create a Total Efforts field. 
  4. Click (Settings icon for this field) Total Efforts to view the Properties pop-up window.Figure: Adding Total Efforts control

Properties

This section contains the list of properties using which theApplication Designer can configure the label for the Total Efforts.  To know more about the fields that are available under the Properties section, see Field Description given below.

Field Description
This table contains the list of fields and their descriptions that are available under the Properties section:

Effort control will be selected here as field value.

Appearance 

This section contains the list of features using which the Administrator can select Label and Value for Total Efforts. To know more about the fields that are available under the section, see Field Description given below.

Click Save to save the configuration. The configured Total Efforts control appears under consumer screen as shown below:
