Join

The Join utility enables you to combine two or more different transition paths into a single transition. Before moving on to the following stage, it enables connected transitions to be finished.

Notes
  • On completing all the predecessor activities associated to the Join Utility, you can complete the transition.

  • After starting a workflow, you cannot have a join utility, and a join must be accompanied by at least two events.

  • You cannot link two join utility without any actions associated with it.

In the Join Utility, you can perform the following procedures.

Configure Properties

Configure Properties enables you to configure the join utility based on the requirement.

Note
Indicate the number of events when selecting if any events is completed.

To configure Join Utility, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Workflow Canvas.
  2. Drag and drop the Join Utility to the workflow.

  3. Click and click Configure Properties.
    The Join - Properties page is displayed.

  4. Enter value in the required fields as described in the following table and click Save.

    FieldDescription
    NameEnter the name to the join.
    DescriptionEnter the brief description of the join.
    Actions
    All events should completeAll the actions associated to the Join should be completed before completing the join utility and proceeding to the next actions. Any actions associated with multiple task is consider as single task.
    Define by eventDisplay the list of events connect to the join utility. The toggle button is disabled, by default.

    Maximum count of events which can be made mandatory is equal to the count of events specified in the 'How many events should complete 'How many events should complete' textbox.

    Notes
    • The number events (Approval, Sub Flow, and Create Task) connected to the Join utility are displayed Join Properties window when Define by Event is selected. 
    • The required occurrences defined in Define by events are highlighted in distinct colors within the workflow for easy identification.

    • Selecting Define by Event with zero events to complete and clicking save should prompt the message 'Please configure How many events should complete or make at least one event mandatory'.

The mandatory actions which must be completed to before completing the Join utility displayed connector in RED color as displayed in the screenshot provided.

Clone Join Utility

It is not necessary to perform each step manually if you ever need to create a duplicate entity. Clone enables you to create replica of the Join utility. You can create a clone for the configured Join Utility only. 

To create a clone copy of Join Utility, perform the following steps.

  1. Navigate to the Workflow Canvas.
  2. Drag and drop the Join Utility to the workflow.
  3. Click 3dots and click Clone from the list.

  4. Configure the clone Join utility.

Delete Join Utility

You can delete a Join Utility based on your requirement however, you could not delete Join utility linked to other actions in the workflow. 

The following warning message is displayed while deleting such Join utility.

Branch

The Branch Utility enables you to carry out multiple actions at once. The Branch utility allows you to link multiple concurrently running actions, which will increase operational efficiency.

Note
  • You cannot link branch utility to an End component and two branch cannot be linked subsequently.
  • If any approver in a multi-level branch rejects, the remaining approvers' approval is no longer needed.

In the Branch Utility, you can perform the following procedures.

Configure Properties

You can configure Branch utility to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual efforts.

To configure Branch utility, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Workflow Canvas.
  2. Drag and drop the Branch utility to the workflow.

  3. Clickand click Configure Properties.
    The Branch - Properties page is displayed.

  4. Enter value in the required fields and click Save.

Clone Branch Utility

You can create a clone of Branch utility to replica the configured parameters.

To create a clone copy of Branch utility, perform the following steps.

  1. Navigate to the Workflow Canvas.
  2. Drag and drop the Branch Join utility to the workflow.
  3. Click and click Clone from the list.

  4. Configure the Clone Branch utility.

Delete Branch Utility

You can delete a Branch utility based on your requirement however, you could not delete Branch utility linked to other actions in the workflow. The following warning message is displayed while deleting such Branch utility.

Set Value

The Set Value workflow enables the configuration of one or multiple variables on the record being processed by the workflow, assigning them specific values which will persist throughout the workflow's execution.

Note
In the Set Values section, we can configure a tree control value based on the field selected and its family type.

Configure Set Value

You can configure the set values to set one or more variables on the records.

To configure Set Values, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Workflow Canvas.
  2. Drag and drop the Set Value utility to the workflow.

  3. Click from the Set Value widget and click Configure Properties.
    The Set Values - Properties page is displayed.

  4. Enter value in the required fields as described in the following table and click Save.

    FieldDescription
    Name*Enter the name of the Set Value for which you want to create a set value. This is a mandatory field.
    DescriptionSpecify the brief description of the set value in the textbox.
    Set Value
    Data SourceThe Data Source is selected based on the selected module by default. 
    FieldSelect the predefined fields from the list. 
    ValueSelect the values based on the selected fields.

Clone Set Values

  1. Navigate to the Workflow Canvas.
  2. Drag and drop the Set Values to the workflow.

Delete Set Value

You can delete a Set Value based on your requirement however, you could not delete Set Value linked to other actions in the workflow.
