You can also allocate/de‐allocate the Assets or log an Incident for an Asset.
To allocate Assets, perform the following steps:
Tap the icon to allocate an Asset to a user(s). Provide all the details and tap Submit to allocate the selected asset to user(s). For more details about the fields on the Allocate Asset page, see Field Description.

Description
Asset ID
Displays the ID of the selected Asset.
Category
Displays the Category of the selected Asset.
Allocate To
Allows you to allocate Assets using the following options:
• Single User: Tap this option to allocate the Asset to a single user. For example: Allocating a laptop to a single user.
• Multiple Users: Tap this option to allocate the Asset to multiple users. For example: In a BPO, a desktop can be allocated to multiple users working in different shifts.
• Department: Tap this option to allocate the Asset to a Department. For example: Different types of Servers, Printers, and so on.
• Location: Tap this option to allocate the Asset to a location. For example: Different types of Servers, Printers, and so on.
• Customer: Tap this option to allocate the Asset to a Customer.
Note
To disable any of the above options, contact the System Administrator.
User
Allows you to select a user for an Asset. Tap the User field, specify the user search criteria and tap SEARCH. Select an appropriate name from the list.
Floor
Tap the Search field to select the Floor. Use the Expand icon to view the Stores and Floors in the Location tree. Select the Floor on which you want to allocate the Asset.
Note: The Floors/Locations displayed can be configured on the COMMON MASTERS page of the web application.
Cubicle
Displays the cubicle number of the user. If not, specify the Cubicle
Customer
Lists all the configured Customers. Select the Customer name from the list to whom you want to allocate the Asset.
Note
If you select Customer in the Allocate To field, it becomes mandatory to select the Customer in this field. Otherwise, this is an optional field
Project
Lists all the configured Projects. From the drop‐down list, from the User Project section, select the Project of the User to allocate the Asset.
Allocation type
Select the type of allocation for the Asset. There are two types of Asset allocations:
• Permanent: Select this option if the Asset allocation is a permanent allocation.
• Temporary: Select this option if the Asset allocation is a temporary allocation.
Request ID
Type in the related Incident/Service request ID raised by the user.
Note: The Request Id field is displayed based on the configuration on
the ASSET APPLICATION SETTINGS page of the web application.
Host Name
Specify the host name for the Asset.
Allocation
Date
Tap and select the allocated date of the Asset.
Return Date
Tap and select the return date of the Asset.
Purpose
Lists all the configured purposes for allocation. Select the purpose for allocation from the list.
Remarks
Type in the comments or notes about the Assets, if any.
To deallocate Assets, perform the following steps:
Tap icon to De‐Allocate an Asset. Provide all the details and tap Submit to de‐allocate the selected asset. For more details about the fields on the De‐Allocate Asset page, see Field Description.

Category
Displays the Category of the selected Asset.
Allocated User
Displays the name of the user to whom the Asset is allocated.
Asset Condition
Lists the configured Asset Conditions. Select the Asset Condition from the list.
Reference ID
Specify the Reference Id of the Asset.
Software Deallocation
Select this check box to de‐allocate the software installed on the selected Assets.
Return Accessories
Select this check box to return the Accessories allocated with the
Asset.
Remarks
Specify remarks for deallocating the Asset.
