The Discovery Dashboard page displays  the data related to the discovered devices in pictorial representation. You can also view the detailed details such as total number of jobs in which the total active, recurring, one-time, and in-progress jobs.

Access to Discovery Dashboard

Administrators can provide the access to the DISCOVERY DASHBOARD page at the role template level. If enabled, the users mapped to the role template can view the DISCOVERY DASHBOARD on the Admin menu.

To View Discovery Dashboard:

  1. Select Admin > Discovery & Monitoring > General > Discovery Dashboard. The Job Details page is displayed.

  2. On the Job Details page, select the Tenant, Proxy and Date Range.

  3. Click Apply to view the pie graphs as per the filter criteria.

  4. Click the hyperlink on any of the tiles such as TOTAL NUMBER OF JOBS, TOTAL ACTIVE JOBS, RECURRING JOBS CONFIGURED, ONE TIME JOBS CONFIGURED, IN-PROGRESS JOBS to view the list of jobs by the job names or IP Addresses or Status in tile/list view.

  5. The Job Details page contains the following pie graphs and tiles as mentioned in the below table:

Pie Graph or Tile Name

Description

Device By Protocol

The Device By Protocol pie graph displays total number of discovered devices based on the protocols such as WMI, SSH, Telenet, etc,. It also displays the percentage of the protocol.
 

Device By Device Type

The Device By Device Type pie graph displays total number of discovered devices based on the type of device such as computer. It also displays the percentage of the devices that gets discovered.

Device By OS Type

The Device By OS Type pie graph displays total number of discovered devices based on the type of OS such as Linux and Windows. It also displays the percentage of each OS type that gets discovered.

Device By Manufacturer

The Device By Manufacturer pie graph displays total number of discovered devices based on the Manufacturer such as Microsoft. It also displays the percentage of each Manufacturer devices that gets discovered.

Reachability

The Reachability pie graph displays total number of discovered devices based on their IP reachability. It also displays the percentage of IPs that are reachable and unreachable.

Errors

The Errors pie graph displays total number of discovered devices based on the errors which discovering such as Invalid User Credentials, IP not reachable, and so on. It also displays the percentage of devices that have errors while discovering.

Virtualization

The Virtualization pie graph displays total number of discovered virtual devices based on their groups such as Hyper V and Exsi. It also displays the percentage of device types that are discovered.

Note:

You can export the pie graph into the following four formats

  • PNG

  • JPG

  • PDF

  • CSV

  1. Click on the required pie graph to view the device list.

  2. Select an IP Address from the list to view the HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, ERROR, and OTHER DETAILS with the discovered data.
