Generate RCA Summary

Copilot generates the RCA (Root Cause Analysis) summary for a Problem Record and provides a concise overview of the underlying causes of recurring issues. It leverages data analysis and machine learning to identify patterns and root causes from past issues, presenting the findings in an easily understandable format. This helps teams to quickly grasp the essential factors contributing to problems, facilitating more effective resolution and prevention strategies.

Note

The Resolution – Solution field and Generate RCA Summary AI feature will be enabled only when the status is changed from In-Progress to Resolved. Once the PR is resolved and submitted Generate RCA Summary action button will not be displayed.

To Generate RCA Summary, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to the Application.

  2. Navigate to Problem > User > Problem Record List.
    Problem Record List is displayed.

  3. Select the Problem Record ID to which you must generate RCA Summary.

  4. Click Generate RCA Summary in the Resolution section of the Problem Record.

  5. Resolution Summary is Generated and you are provided the options mentioned below.

    • Override the Solution

    • Append to the Solution

    • Cancel

    Override the Solution: Selecting this option will replace the old text in the Resolution field.

    Append to the Solution: Selecting this option will add the details to the Resolution field

  6. Upon adding the Summary, you must be able to view the generated summary in the resolution field.
