The Set Value workflow enables the configuration of one or multiple variables on the record being processed by the workflow, assigning them specific values which will persist throughout the workflow's execution.


Note

In the Set Values section, you can configure a tree control value based on the field selected and its family type.

Configure Set Value

You can configure the set values to set one or more variables on the records.

To configure Set Values, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Workflow Canvas.

  2. Drag and drop the Set Value component to the workflow canvas.

  3. Click + Add field assignment to add field and value for the Set value and click Save Changes.

Set Value – Status Closed

When the Status field is updated to Closed in the Set Value component, the system enforces additional closure requirements to ensure compliance with Incident Management practices.

To capture the closure details, perform the following steps:

  1. Double-click the Set Value Control Node.
    The system displays the parameter section.

  2. Select Status, then choose Closed from the predefined list.
    The additional closure details are displayed.

  3. Enter the required details as described in the following table and click Save Changes.

    Description

    Closure Code

    Defines the resolution outcome (example; Duplicate Ticket, Out of Scope).

    Category

    Classifies the resolution type (example; Application Issue, Hardware, Network Request).

    Closure Remarks (optional)

    Enter resolution notes, such as Closed after approval workflow or Resolved through change implementation.

    Note

    Closure details entered in the remarks are logged in the Private Notes, ensuring auditability and traceability.
