Master Type
The term "master type" refers to the classification or categorization of different types of master data within the Common Master. For example, in a Common Master dataset for employees, you might have different master types such as "Employee Personal Information," "Employee Contact Details," "Employee Job History," etc. Each master type contains specific attributes or fields related to that category of master data.
In summary, a "master type" in a "Common Master" dataset would denote the classification or categorization of different types of essential data that are standardized and shared across various systems or processes within an organization.
