The Display Parent Link on List Page and Enable Parent Filtering enhancement introduces the following capabilities:
Displays the associated parent record identifier on the list page.
Provides a dedicated column for viewing the linked parent record.
Allows users to filter records based on the parent record identifier.
Helps users identify and review all records associated with a specific parent without opening each record individually.
This enhancement improves the visibility of parent-child relationships and makes it easier to locate related records.
Note
When incidents link to the parent record INC01234, the value INC01234 appears in the Linked Parent Auto Id column for each applicable child incident.
To view parent information from the list page, perform the following steps:
Navigate to Service Management > Incident Management > Manage Incidents.
Select the required Department tab, such as Information Technology.
Locate the Linked Parent Auto Id column.
Review the parent record identifier displayed against the applicable record.
Apply Filter as required.
Records that do not have a linked parent show an empty value in the column.
