Accessories By Status Report

The Accessories By Status report displays the number of accessories, category-wise along with a color legend indicating the consumable status (InStock, Allocated, Inactive).    

Report Usage

The Accessories By Status report provides a consolidated view of accessory inventory, displaying the total count of accessories grouped by their current status. This report enables IT Asset Management (ITAM) analysts to quickly assess inventory availability and usage trends across the organization.

This report is commonly used by inventory managers and IT operations teams to:

  • Monitor available, allocated, and inactive accessories

  • Identify accessories that are running low or over‑allocated

  • Track unused or inactive accessories for cleanup or reuse

  • Support timely stock replenishment and procurement planning

    By offering clear visibility into accessory counts by status, the report helps organizations maintain optimal inventory levels, prevent shortages, and ensure efficient accessory management.

Example

An IT Asset Management (ITAM) analyst is responsible for tracking accessories such as keyboards, mice, headsets, and docking stations to support daily operations and employee onboarding.

The ITAM analyst runs the Accessories By Status report to view accessory counts grouped by status (for example, In Stock, Allocated, and Inactive), gaining a clear snapshot of current inventory levels.

Using the report, the analyst is able to:

  • Identify accessories with low in‑stock availability

  • Detect high allocation trends across accessory categories

  • Reclaim or retire inactive accessories

  • Initiate timely replenishment requests

This ensures optimal inventory levels and minimizes delays in accessory fulfillment.

Steps

To view the Accessories by Status Report, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Reports > Asset Management to open the dashboards page. Search for accessories from the Dashboard list.

  2. Click Accessories & Consumables Dashboard to view status-wise Accessories Quantities graph.
    You will see a combined Dashboard displaying Accessories By Status Report at the top and followed by Consumables By Status Report.

  3. The following table outlines key fields in the report along with concise descriptions of their purpose and usage.

    Description

    Category

    Indicates the category names of Accessories on the X- Axis.

    Total Accessories Count

    Provides the count of Accessories Quantities on the Y-Axis.

    Legend

    Color legend indicates the status of the Accessories which are InStock, Allocated, and Inactive.

Filters

Use filter icon to refine the report results based on selected criteria and display only relevant records.

Enter the details as described in the following table and click Apply filters to view the report or Clear all to reset the filters.

Field

Description

Tenant

Specify the Tenant name to filter the accessories report for a specific Tenant. Multiple Tenants can also be specified.  

Status

Specify the accessories status such as: InStock, Allocated, or Inactive, to filter the accessories report for a specific status. Multiple status can also be specified.

Store Location

Search or select the store location based on which you want to view accessories belonging only to a specific Location. Multiple locations can also be searched and selected.

Apply filters

Click Apply filters to filter reports based on the filter criteria.

Clear all

Click Clear all to clear the filter criteria and view all the reports.
