It helps track asset ownership changes, monitor movement across locations or projects, and maintain a complete audit trail. This report supports accountability, compliance, and better asset planning within the environment.

Report Usage

The Asset Allocation History By User Report is used to view assets allocated to users along with precise asset location details, such as the user’s working project and office cubicle. It helps analysts and administrators track and analyze asset allocation over time, including recent allocation changes and potential reasons for those changes..

Example

When an employee reports a missing laptop, the IT support team uses the Asset Allocation History by User Report to review the user’s allocation history, verify the assigned Asset ID, serial number, and location details, and confirm whether the asset was issued, transferred, or returned, enabling faster investigation and accurate resolution of the incident.


Steps

To view the Asset Allocation History By User Report, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Reports > Asset Management to open the dashboards page. Search for Asset Allocation History By User Report from the Dashboard list.

  2. Select Asset Allocation History By User Report to open a structured, tabular view displaying all virtual and physical asset attributes.

  3. The following table outlines key fields in the report along with concise descriptions of their purpose and usage.

    Field

    Description

    Asset ID

    Unique system-generated identifier assigned to each asset for tracking and reference.

    Asset Code

    Reference code assigned to the asset for easy identification within the application.

    Serial Number

    Manufacturer-provided serial number used to uniquely identify the physical asset.

    Host Name

    Name of the system or device associated with the asset in the network.

    Category

    Classification of the asset based on its type (for example, Laptop, Desktop, or Printer).

    Store Location

    Physical or logical location where the asset is stored, managed, or assigned from.

    Allocation Date

    Date on which the asset was allocated to a user or entity.

    Allocation To

    Name of the user or entity to whom the asset is assigned.

    Allocation Type

    Specifies how the asset is allocated (for example, Permanent or Temporary).

    Return Date

    Date on which the asset was returned to the store or inventory.

    Return Remarks

    Comments or notes recorded at the time of asset return, such as condition or issues.

Filters

Use filter icon to refine the report results based on selected criteria and display only relevant records.

Enter the details as described in the following table and click Apply filters to view the report or Clear all to reset the filters.

Tenant

Specifies the Tenant to filter the report data, allowing users to view software license information for a specific Tenant.

User Name

Select or search for a user name to view asset allocation history specific to that user.
