The Authentication configuration is only applicable for the Apex Mobile App. Using this configuration, the login credentials of a user can be saved for the Apex Mobile App.
To Configure Authentication Configuration, perform the following steps:
Navigate to Admin > Infrastructure > Authentication Configuration.
The AUTHENTICATION CONFIGURATION page is displayed.Click Add New in right action panel.
Enter the details and click Submit.

Field Description
The following table describes the fields on the Authentication Configuration page:

DETAILS | |
Domain | Specify the Domain name. The Authentication configuration is applicable for the specified Domain. |
Domain IP | Specify the domain IP address. Here, the domain IP means the Active Directory Server IP address. |
Consider Domain | If selected, the user can enter the username without specifying the Domain value (SS) in the Mobile App. |
Is Default | Select the check box to set this as a default configuration. If there is an existing Authentication configuration for this Domain, it is overwritten. |
Active | Indicates the status set for the Authentication configuration.

AUTHENTICATION SEQUENCE | |
Type | Select the type of Authentication from the drop-down list. The available Authentication types are Form, Windows, ADFS, Proxy, and Okta.

URL | This field is displayed when the Type is selected as ADFS, Proxy or Okta.

Endpoint | This field is displayed when the Type is selected as ADFS. Specify the Endpoint where it should be authenticated. |
IISAuth | This field is displayed when the Type is selected as Proxy. Select the IISAuth value from the drop-down list. Following are the options: Http, Https. |
Token | This field is displayed when the Type is selected as Okta. Specify the Token ID.

Sequence | Select a value to set the sequencing order for the selected type of Authentication. The Authentication types will be displayed in the configured sequence. For example: Let’s consider the Form Type Authentication is configured with sequence value as 2 and the Windows Type Authentication is configured with sequence value as 1. While authenticating a user trying to log into the Apex Mobile App, the user is authenticated with Windows Authentication first, and then followed by Form Authentication. |
Note
The Domain and Domain IP are mandatory fields for all the Authentication types.
Users can use SSO Configuration for the Authentication types, such as ADFS, Proxy, and Okta for best results.

This section explains all the icons displayed in the right action panel on the add new AUTHENTICATION CONFIGURATION page.
SHOW LIST
Click SHOW LIST to view all the configured Authentications.

ADD NEW
Click ADD NEW to configure a new Authentication configuration.
