You can create Standard Templates for Change Records on the New Change Record page and use those Standard Templates to create new Change Records.
To create Standard Templates, perform the following steps:
Navigate to Change > User > New Change Record.

Note
You can rename the Category name as per your requirement (for example: IT), however, the Source Category must be configured as Small. For more information about Category configuration, see: Configuring Category.

Select the Propose For Standard Change checkbox. The Standard Template Name and Proposal Justification fields are displayed.
Type in the name of the Standard Template in the Standard Template Name field.
Type in the reason for creating the template in the Proposal Justification field.
Specify the other required details and click Submit. After the CR is implemented, the CR is saved as a Standard Template.
Notes
To save the CR as a template, the CAB must select it as a Standard Template while approving the CR.
The following conditions are mandatory to create a Standard Template for CR:
Category Should be Small.
Change Type should be Normal.
Expedited should be No.
Overall Risk should be Low.
Is Change Successful? should be Yes.
You can view the list of Standard Templates on the Standard Change Template List page (Change > User > View Standard Template List).
Edit Expiry Date from Standard Change Template List
This enhancement introduces the ability to update the Expiry Date directly from the Standard Change Template List page through an inline editing experience. Users can change the expiry date and time without navigating from the list page, resulting in a faster and more efficient workflow.
To edit Standard Change Template, perform the following steps:
Log in to the Application as an Analyst (change manager).
Navigate to ITSM > Change > User > Standard Change Template List. The application displays Standard Change Template List page.

Old Standard Change Templates expiry date is blank value. Any template modified post upgrade will have a new value which is 3 years that is 1095 days. Hover on the edit icon to view the expiry validation rules. It displays as below:
Past: Cannot be in the past
Maximum: No more than 3 years (1095 Days) from today.
After the upgrade to Q3 instance all the Standard Change Templates in the list page will by default reset to 3 years and 00:00:00 with edit option.
Click on the edit icon
next to date in the Expiry Date column on the list page. On performing this action, application allows the change manager to edit expiry date on the list page.Note
Expiry Date cannot be in the past and cannot be more than 3 years from today.
Make the required date changes and click Done to complete the edit for Expiry Date on the Standard Change Template List page.

Click Change History icon to view the changes in the template history, including:
Previous Status
New Status
User
Date and Time of Change

The system captures the changes in chronological order.

If the Change Template expiry date is within 7 days, then the Workgroup Change Manager gets an automated system generated notification reminder email about this information. The notification email includes an action item for the change Manger to review the Standard Change Template. For this to function, you must enable the Standard Template Expiry Notification job in the Custom Scheduler.
Actions
On the right action panel, click Filters and choose the required details to filter results on the Standard Change Template list page.
The Filters has two new fields such as Expiry From Date and Expiry To Date where the user can view the result based on the date range.
The Include Expired Templates filter remains unchecked by default.
Expired templates are visually distinguishable from active templates using a badge, style, or other visual indicators.
