The team uses the Amendment History (System Logs) report to identify who modified the asset record and when, validates the change, and restores accurate data to ensure compliance and audit readiness.

Steps:

To view the System Logs - Amendment History report, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Reports > Asset Management > Search or Select the report name.
    The Dashboards page is displayed.

    Business Unit

    The name of the Business Unit associated with the asset or license.

    Event ID

    A system-generated unique identifier assigned to each amendment event within the audit log, ensuring accurate tracking and traceability of individual changes.

    User

    The name, username, or distinctive identifier of the individual who initiated or performed the amendment, establishing accountability for system changes.

    Date Changed

    The precise date and time at which the amendment was executed, providing chronological context for audit and review purposes.

    Action

    A detailed classification of the specific change that was applied, such as updating a field, deleting an item, or making other modifications to asset records.

    Item Type

    The category of the asset or record that was modified, for example, a software license, device, or product, allowing for organized tracking and analysis.

    Description

    A concise summary or explanation describing the nature, purpose, and details of the amendment that was made to the system asset.

    Item ID

    A unique reference identifier assigned to the particular asset or item that was amended, facilitating accurate identification within reports and logs.

    Item Name

    The official name or designation of the asset or item that underwent modification, enabling clear recognition in audit documentation.

    Manufacturer

    The name of the vendor, provider, or manufacturer responsible for the asset or product that was affected by the change event.

    Product

    The specific software or hardware product involved in the amendment, detailing the impact on organizational resources.

    Quantity

    The total number of product units or items affected by the amendment, which can help assess the scale of change within inventory or licensing.

    Version

    The exact version of the software or product that was subject to the amendment, allowing for precise tracking of version-specific changes.

    Action Type
