An application group is a collection of useful and relevant applications. When creating an application group consider the grouping of applications into a consolidated application group.
The following actions can be performed on an application group.
User Persona: Platform Designer
Create Application Group
To create an Application Group, perform the following steps:
- Log in as an Admin.
- Navigate to Platform Topology > Application > New.
The New Application page is displayed.

- Click Application Group drop-down field.
List of applications and an option to add a new application is displayed.

Create Application Group page is displayed.

A message as Application Group successfully created is displayed.
Field Description
| Field | Description |

| Application Group Name | Specify a unique name to identify the application group. |
| Sort Order | Defines the relative position of the application on the Application page. You can rearrange the applications by specifying the sort order. If you do not specify the sort order, the default order of the applications is used. |
| Application Group Description | Specify the brief description about the application group. |
| Active | Select this checkbox to display the application group on other pages of the application. By default, this checkbox is enabled. If not selected, the application group will be inactive. The application group is disabled to display on other pages of the application. The newly created application groups will not be appended with the existing application group list. |
Update Application Group
To update an Application Group, perform the following steps:
- Log in as an Admin.
- Navigate to Platform Topology > Application > New.
The New Application page is displayed.
- Click on Application Group field.
List of Application Groups are displayed.

- Make the required changes.
- Click Update.
Application Group is updated successfully.
