Allocated Asset Distribution by Category Report

The Allocated Assets Report allows users to refine the displayed data by selecting a specific Asset Category. Filtering by Category provides a focused view of all assets belonging to the chosen category (such as Laptops, Desktops, Printers, Servers, Network Devices, etc.) across the selected Tenant and Location.

When a category filter is applied, the system displays only the allocated, in‑store, in‑repair, and de-active assets that fall under the selected category, both in graphical and tabular formats. This enables quick analysis of category-specific asset distribution and lifecycle status.

Usage

  • View consolidated asset distribution across the enterprise.

  • Analyze asset states to support audits and lifecycle planning.

  • Drill into category-wise or customer-wise asset breakdowns.

  • Access detailed lists of Allocated, In‑Store, In‑Repair, or De-active assets.

Example

An Analyst from the IT Asset Management team needs to review all Laptop assets across the India – Bangalore location to verify current allocations and identify devices under repair. Instead of navigating through all asset types, the Analyst uses the Category filter in the Allocated Assets Report to display only Laptop-related data.

View Report

To view the report, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Reports > Asset Management > Asset Summary and Location Dashboard.
    The Dashboards page is displayed.

  2. Click Asset Summary and Location Dashboard to view Allocated Asset Distribution by Category Report.

  3. You can perform the following actions on the Report using the vertical ellipsis.

    Menu Option

    Action

    Force refresh

    Ensures that the most up-to-date values are displayed.

    Enter fullscreen

    Displays the Report in full screen for better visibility and presentation.

    View query

    To view the actual query which is used to run the report.

    View as table

    Switches the visual view to a data grid or tabular view.

    Search the Data using Search text box on the top.

    Edit the chart using Edit Chart option at the bottom right of the page.

    Share

    Share the report by email or copy the permalink to clipboard.

    Download

    Download the report as an image or export to .CSV or Excel.

Filters

Use the filters such as Software Name, Software Vendor, Asset ID, Machine Host Name, or Asset_Category in order to display the filtered data on the Report as per your requirement.
