📍Asset Locations

Asset Location serves as a placeholder for creating a hierarchical list of locations. You can create a structured hierarchy by organizing Regions at the root node, followed by Countries, States, Cities, and Campuses

User Persona: Administrator
Solution
NovaTech with a global presence spanning multiple branches across various countries and regions, aims to enhance the tracking and management of their IT assets for improved efficiency and oversight.

They need a robust system to keep track of where each asset is located to streamline inventory management, maintenance, and tracking processes.
Administrator Sandra can utilize the AM Location Master configuration to organize Asset Locations efficiently. Within the AM Location Master configuration interface, she can effortlessly add, edit, or deactivate asset locations based on organizational requirements.

Configure AM Location Master

To configure AM Location Master Category, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Design Studio > Asset Management Module > Configurations > Asset Masters > AM Location Master.

  2. Select the desired Tenant and the Location Master tree is displayed.

  3. Select the desired Location and click   to drill down further.

  4. Right-click on any of the configured Locations. A pop-up list with multiple options is displayed.

  5. Edit, update, or modify the details of the below options and click Save.

  6. To create a new Location, select the Create Root Node option. To add child categories under this, select Create Child Node option.

Field Description

This table contains the list of fields and their descriptions that are available under the AM Location Master Details page:

Create Root NodeClick this option to create a new Root Node/Category. A new Node/Category is created at the top of the configured Node list.
Create Child NodeClick this option to create a Child Node/Category. A Child Node/Category will be created for the Node/Category on which you have right clicked.
RenameClick this option to rename a Node/Category.
DeactivateClick this option to deactivate a Node/Category.
Set As DefaultClick this option to set a Node/Category as Default Node/Category.
Add IconClick this option to add an icon to the Node/Category.
Update DescriptionClick this option to update the description of the selected Node/Category.
